Adobe photoshop program error

Hey Forum and Adobe techs...

I've been having massive issues with photoshop. I'll start up and then it tells me it's resetting my prefs and then after loading the file it says could not complete due to program error and fails to open the PSD... then I go and turn off "Use Graphics Processor" and increase the memory usage or it will be slower than a snail on a hot summer day. it also shows this error message when closing and sometimes when saving.

Please help me, it's really driving me nuts... and impeding my work because I need to then load all my brushes and palletes again and all that stuff.

Also can we add a thing to the CC desktop app to either use the Forums in there or a help chat option there?

Which version of Photoshop and OS?

How much RAM and spare disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in photoshop preferences?

I have reset the pref's and I've actually reinstalled both Windows and Adobe. and still the problem prevails.

Hi! update to Photoshop 22.1.1 as it fixes the "program error" issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html

If the update does not appear in the CC app, go to help>check for updates.
