Is it possible to remove the black background of this image ?

I have attached a layered PSD example with the original image with transparency from the action and the lower layer in green. There is also a layer in the middle set to "screen" blend mode, which drops out the black, but isn't good for the rest of the image (this is better for transferring whites on black than colours).
