all my saved files show up completely white when i open them

when i open a saved document omto photot shop the canvas appears on the screen totaly white and i am um=nable to make any adjustments to the image. also when i use the brush tool i can only see the strokes on the layer thumbnail as soon as i add a layer.

Can you provide us more info about your problem and describe process with more details?

Are you duplicating document or layer in the document? Can you post screenshot with entire Photoshop window and Layers panel visible?

Try this: Preferences > Performance > Advanced Settings > uncheck GPU compositing
