All text characters are now narrow, condensed

No matter how I use the text tool and edit options in the Character palette text is too narrow. Started hapening today.

What's odd is if I use certain justify tools instead of impacting the spacing of characters it impacts the width of them.

Updated Photoshop versions, restarted, still happening.

What squishes text like this? Happnes on all typefaces.

Thanks.

In the Paragraph palette hitting Reset Paragraph seems to help.

Any idea what got turned on and how this feature restores proper character width?

Hi!

Can you show us a screen shot of your winddow with the type showing AND your Type properties window open so we can see the font information? Also, what version of Photoshop are you using? Have you tried resetting the Type tool? To reset the type tool, you can: (With the Type tool selected in the tool panel) go to your options bar, click the drop down menu arrow to open the Tool Presets, and select the gear icon on the right side of the dropdown menu. Choose Reset Tool, and then try resetting Photoshop. Let us know if that makes a difference?
