Annoying pink cursor "thing"

Advisor ,

After last PS update I get this annoying pink "thing" in the center of my brush cursor. Looks animated. What is that and how do I get rid of it? There's nothing obvious in the properties of things, I've been looking all the typical places.

This feature is new to 2018 and is called the “brush leash”

The pink brush leash is meant to serve as a guide for the Smoothing feature of the Brush Tool. Turning Smoothing down to 0% removes the pink line and restores the brush tool to the original version.

You can also turn off the brush leash in the Cursors panel of your Preferences > Cursors

You can also change the colour if you wanted to

Edit:

Here is a 6-minute video explaining how to use it effectively and what it's actually for;

The pink cursor thing is the new feature of brushes in adobe to enhance the smoothing of the brush.

You just need to put zero in the integer value of brush smoothing.It should help.

You can also turn off the brush leash in the Cursors panel of your Preferences > Cursors

This will allow you to continue using smoothing without the pink leash.
