Apply image missing critical options for the retouching technique called "Frequency Seperation" Was wondering if anyone else encountered this and knows how to restore those options. Thank you.

The options are all there - I've just described how to do it in this thread https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/how-do-i-mask-lighten-dark-bra-color-under-a-slightly-see-through-sweater/td-p/10861304

Hahah, well the action DOES have to be setup correctly in the first place! :]

Most posts to these forums get it wrong as they manually perform the steps and then blame the software.

I agree that setting up actions avoids mistakes and is the best way to do this.

However I normally outline the manual set up when demonstrating, as it helps to understand exactly what the action is doing, rather than it being a mysterious black box.

A friend of mine actually pointed out what I was doing wrong. Having it in an action was actually why I wasn't setting it up correctly via the blending mode. Had they action for several years I never had to do it manually (Recently updated to 2020).
