I'm editing a video using Photoshop 2020 and am trying to change some audio properties of the clips. All help topics I've seen say to click on the triangle at the top right of each clip to open the audio properties but all that shows up is a motion dialogue box- no audio or video settings. Any idea what the fix is?
Thanks.
Is it a video clip, which should show Audio and Video properties or a video clip in a smart object which will show the dialogue in your screenshot. If the latter , then you would need to open the smart object and access the clip inside directly

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Timeline, Options Bar, …) visible?

That was it! Thank you. I had to convert it to a smart object to resize it. Once I opened the layer (double clicked) up I was able to adjust the sound properties. Thank you so much.

I'm having a similar problem. When I double click the layer, the new layer that opens up is also a smart object too. As in, the timeline bar is still purple and not turning blue. I'm working with 4 layers at once, and this only happens with one of the 4. The other 4 all have a blue timeline when the layer is double clicked.
Secondly, the volume edits I make in the new psb tab that opens aren't transferred over to the original smart object video. I've changed the volume of the clip multiple times and it doesn't update to the smart object clip.

I'm having the same issue, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Any help at all would be appreciated. How did you solve your problem?

I have that issue, too! When opening the smart object in a seperat layer, it is still a smart object and I can't remove the audio. My videoclip automatically converted into a smart object when I dragged it into photoshop. I don't know if that makes a difference..
Anyone...?

@kristinekahler It sounds like you might have a nested smart object, i.e. a smart object within a smart object. Just double click again until you get to the root content.
