I am trying to automate crop and straighten in batch with a whole folder of images but it is saving with the word "copy" afterwards.
This is what I am doing.
I create an action (start recording), add automate crop and straighten, save as jpg, then I hit stop. Then when I do batch with my action they all save with the word "copy" afterwards. Is there a way to do crop and straighten so it doesn't create a copy? Or, can I edit my action so that it doesn't include "copy" in the name?
Also, when I go to edit the action I can edit the save, however there is no way to remove copy. I deleted the word before I saved, but the action stil says to add "copy" to save.
Thanks
Okay so if I go to "file" "script" "Image processor" and then run my crop and straighten action it works without adding the word "copy."

Have you tried saving to a different folder?

Well, my import and export folders are different if that's what you mean. I think the issue is that the automate crop and straighten function creates a "copy" of the file and doesn't affect the original file. So the action just keeps creating a copy. But I don't want the file saved with the word "copy". Thanks for the reply, I will try messing around with folders.

Thanks! I appreicate it! However, this only applies if all of your images need to be the same size. I just need my images cropped and straighted to the object I photographed (which is a rectangle shape, but sizes can vary).

I haven't found a way to do it through photoshop yet, but I did find an application called "Name Mangler" that will edit file names. I was able to just plug the file names afterwards and the application deleted the amount of characters that I needed to be removed.
