background removal bulk photoshop

Hello,

I have a lot of product photos, where i have to remove the background and save it as a JPG with a solid white background. 

I would like to do this with several pictures at once, since theire quite similar. The products are colorful and pictured in front of a white background, so they have clear edges.

I tried to add an action for this, which works,  but the result cant be saved as an JPG file.

I am trying and reading for so long, but i cant figure it out. If you could help me with this, it would be highly appreciated.

I tried making a script, but honestly i dont know where to start.

You should be able to save as a jpg, or at least save as copy. You need to make sure the file has been flattened, and all extra channels and paths have been removed. Personally, I prefer scripting.

You have to open one image, and Create an Action, and record your steps. Problem with removing backgrounds is every image  could produce different results. You could create an action and then use object selection tool, then select inverse, then fill with white, then File>Export>Save for Web - select JPG and compression,  maybe 80  would be  good, then save, then stop  recording your action.  Then test  it on another image. 

It should work.... I can't vouch for the results, that  will depend  on the  objects and how  busy the backgrounds are.

If you are happy with the action results, then you can use the File > Scripts > Image Processor script that comes with Photoshop to batch open and save the files while applying the action. Just remove any open or save steps from the action as the script will perform those steps. This presumes that you are having issues with the File > Automate > Batch command.

Based on that post I came up with something. See that thread for more discussion of it. I'm still testing it but you might give it a try and see if it helps. Can't say for sure it will work for your situation but maybe. Let me know if it does. Download at this link:

It worked perfectly in my situation. I had over 3,000 product pictures with a white background, and the task was to remove the background and save them as .PNG files. While not all the pictures achieved optimal results initially, I manually adjusted them later on. With just a few adjustments to the settings, voilà, it worked like a charm.

Where is the problem to save as JPG? Which command you are using when recording action?
