Background removal

Hello everyone!

I own an online store where I put peoples faces on shot glasses. People send me their images and I photoshop the heads out of them and print them onto shot glasses. 

I currently remove the backgrounds with the "remove background" option that appears on the bar. Then, I go in with the eraser tool and clean up areas that need help or I don't want on the shot glass.

My question is... Is there a better way or faster way of doing this? When photoshoping 30-60 images in one sitting, it becomes a bit time consuming.

Use select subject and create a layer mask, to start. Then you can refine that, if necessary.

Like Chuck said - select subject. Once you have your subject selected, make a new layer mask - you can click the new layer mask button at the bottom of the layers panel or if you have the bar on screen - just click new layer mask button in there. You might have to get a little fancy with select and mask for more complicated selections but you can save out as a layer mask for that as well. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look for tutorials on how to use these tools. If the selections are simple you might be able to create an action that does it all for you.
