Batch editing stacked smart object layers

Hello,

I'm usually opening a large amount of images from Lightroom in PS as layers.
Recently, it has become possible to open a stack of images as smart object layers - ideal for getting back into the RAW data.

Since files from LR aren't linkd, but embedded, it would be rather cumbersome to 

1. open the smart object
2. create a CR preset
3. apply the repeset
4. open the next layer etc etc etc for up to 120 times.

Is it possible to batch-edit smart object layers like that? Create one CR preset and execute it on all smart object layers automatically?

The only other way imaginable to me would be to apply adjustments to the files in LR and then "replace content" of the smart objects, which would be equally cumbersome.

I would even purchase a script if it's possible to do this. An action won't go anywhere, because CR halts the process waiting for input.

The answer to your post would be for Adobe to add a menu command in Lr-Classic:  [Open as LINKED Smart Object Layers in Photoshop].

Unfortunately not available now.  See my post in the Lr-Classic forum for a partial answer.

@Stephen Marsh the answer @Rob_Cullen gave here is perfectly correct. Your assumption is the same as mine was, but not entirely. Unless you generally save metadata to files!

I don't use LrC, I'd expect the presets applied in LrC would travel as CRS metadata into Photoshop and are then available in ACR as applied settings (not as a preset). I guess from your post that this isn't the case.

AFAIK, ACR is generally outside of scripting.
