Batch processing doesn't save to designated folder

Batch processing doesn't save to designated folder.  I create a specific folder to receive the batch edited files.  System seems to save to random locations.  Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.  It's not unusual.

Does your action have a Save As command in it? If so, that specifies the location the files will be saved in. For the batch process to override that action's save command, you have to check on the Override Action "Save As" Commands option in the Batch dialog.

If that does not work, showing us the action would help in troubleshooting.

thanks dan.  All good now.  I did have a Save As in the Action but I hadn't checked the box for Override Actions "Save As" Commands in the Batch process.

When choosing the Source folder is it normal for no content to render, just the message "No items match your search"?

Yes it's normal to not see files. You're choosing a folder that contains files, not files themselves.
