Batch processing

I have many JPG files. I want to use Batch processing from Automate in Photoshop. I select the correct folder and action. Why does each image (jpg) open in Camera Raw first? I have to confirm each image and click "Open". I don't want to do this. Can anyone help?

Photoshop > Preferences > Camera Raw > File Handling > JPEG/HEIC

setting?

Other answer correct. But I would add that you can override opening option dialog boxes
