Best way to both resample and resize and image
Hello all. What steps do I take in what order to both resize and resample an image to fit a specific size/resolution?
An example:
- I have a 300 ppi image that is 10.26” x 10” and 300 ppi.
- For this display, the image need only be 120 ppi. I can resize it down (uncheck resample) to get to 26.65 x 25” at 120 ppi.
- However, I also need it resampled up to 50” x 50”, still at 120 ppi.
What steps in what order are the best way to ensure the best result? (I AM aware of the basic issues with resampling and it’s limitations.) I've done some experimentation but haven't been able to get my head around it. Resize first and then resample, resample and then resize, or is there is another BEST method to get it where I need it to be? Could someone outline the steps? Hope that makes sense. Mac 10.15.7 and Photoshop 21.2.4. Thanks!
