We need more information to help with this.  We can see that you have a Layer Mask selected, so hitting Invert  would invert the layer mask and not the layer contents.  What was the state of the layer mask before you inverted it?

when i invert these lines appear.. shouldnt do this and not sure why

all fixed changed from 32-bit to 16-bit... sorted it out thanks

Ok, however, I have tested using 32-bit file and everything works just fine.
