Black screen issue resolved?

Community Beginner ,

When I previously installed version 25.4 onto my computer, it immediately caused the screen to turn black. The computer would still run as if I could see it, but the only way to fix that issue was to quit out of photoshop. As a result, I downgraded to 25.2, which apparently worked fine, but now I'm curious to know if it's safe to upgrade to a newer version that has fixed some bugs.

Does anyone happen to know if Adobe has resolved this bug for macOS yet or not? I'd like to get more bugs fixed if it's safe to update the software now. Thanks.

Haven't heard any specifics in that regard.

Maybe the only way to know for sure is to install the most recent Photoshop 2024 (ps ver 25.6) and see.
