Blend modes grayed out

Contributor ,

I made a circle shape filled with color on two layers. When I try to change the blend modes most are grayed out. I think tried to make a circle selection (instead of a shape) and fill it with color. Same issue.

Can someone explain why I don't have all the blend modes available? I'm using CC2019.

Hi

What is the image mode and bit depth of your image? Blending modes are restricted in 32 bits/channel mode.

Layer blend modes. layer blend modes.PNG

I do not have access to color burn, linear burn, screen, color dodge, any of the "light" modes, overlay, hard mix, or exclusion.

You clipped the screenshot to be close to useless.

It’s not possible to determine the image’s Color Mode or Bit Depth for example.
