Blending Textures

Hello, fellow photoshoppers !

I'm a new user and I'm glad to finally use this amazing tool. I'll mostly be using it for games making purposes, so I should with no doubt do some texturing for my 3D models.

I'm currently working on a remake of a 2007 game. The textures look a bit.. Well... Bad. I'm looking for a way, if it is possible, to blend this texture with another high resolution one, to make it look way better and still keep the shadings.
