Brush tool setting

Even though I have my brush tip set to NORMAL in the Cursors Preferences, Photoshop gives me the FULL SIZE brush tip. I cannot set it back to NORMAL. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you have a pen and is brush tip size set to pen pressure?  Using your mouse is the stroke the sanr size as rge blacl tip outtline?

I do not use a pen or tablet on my desktop iMac.

Go to Apple>System Preferences>Accessibility>Display and set the Cursor size to Normal
