Bug in latest version?

Thanks for the tip.  That fixed it for me.  Reset preferences to default and both regular and legacy brightness/contrast now work as expected.  Using latest release version, not beta.  

So:  have you updated your video driver as suggested?   Yes or no works. 

As I wrote above. the bug is in Photoshop Beta Release 26.9.0!! The bug has absolutely nothing to do with settings, it's simply a bug in this Beta release and I hope it will be fixed soon by Adobe!

Thanks.  I just updated to v26.8.1.  I already had disabled the GPU.  I enabled it and it made no difference.  Are you saying you cannot duplicate this issue?  From looking at the thread it appears I am not alone.  Perhaps I need to revert to an earlier version of PS which does not have this bug.  

I updates today to latest Beta version, which is not 26.8.x, but 26.9.0! To disable the GPU makes no difference, as exptected. This is for sure a bug in the last versions of Photoshop Beta. And it's not only the preview, which does not work, it's also the Contrast slide, which has a wrong initial position left of the centre. In Photoshop 26.8.1 (not Beta) there is no error!

Same for me, since the last Update Brightness/Contrast preview is not working and Contrast slider is in a wrong initial position!!

I tried the xbox game bar to take a video of the issue, but it failed to show the Photoshop menu or mouse action.

Also, it would be helpful if you could share a screen recording of the issue.
