just now, DNGs are not opening to usual
thumbnails + panels for further processing;
only first DNG opens as single "big" image with partial info
& mostly unresponsive white space all around it;
can't find setting that gets me back to DNG thumbnails + panels;
having to hit Alt-Ctrl-Del to get out of Photoshop 2025...
help please, if possible;  thanks in advance;  Windows;

@Aleke thanks for response;
here is System Info you requested;
if my laptop unable to work with new
version Camera Raw 17.4,
can I revert to previous Camera Raw
version -- which worked AOK up to yesterday...?
Thanks in advance.  regards jg

Hey @Jeffrey Greenberg, thanks so much for sharing your System Info!

I noticed that your Intel HD Graphics 520 drivers haven't been updated since 2021. Before trying to roll back to an earlier version of Camera Raw, I’d recommend visiting Intel’s website to check for any available driver updates for your graphics card. That might help improve performance.

Let me know how it goes or if you run into any trouble. Happy to help!

Thanks again
Alek

Hi @Jeffrey Greenberg, sorry to hear you're having trouble with Camera Raw.

When you get a chance, could you send us a screenshot of what the Camera Raw window looks like on your end? That’ll help us get a better idea of what’s going on.

As a first step, it might help to reset your Camera Raw preferences. This will return it to its default state in case something internal isn’t working quite right. Here's how you can do that:

Thanks so much!

Following your RAW Preferences reset steps,
I got this, with no way to get out of it but Ctrl-Alt-Del:
