Hi,

Does anyone know how to get around this weird bug where Camera RAW Filter UI is completely blacked out and unusable? I can't navigate between the different panels and I can't tell which adjustment is what (see screenshot). I have tried restarting my Mac as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, to no avail.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

In the end, I had to go to the extreme to resolve this issue.

I ended up doing a complete OS reinstall on my MacBook Pro, which was unfortunate and time consuming but ultimately did resolve the issue.

Hi there,

That does not sound good, could you please try reinstalling the Camera Raw plugin and let us know if it helps?

Thanks for the swift reply!

Unfortunately, that didn't seem to work. I went to the webpage and installed plugin 11.3.1, but the Camera Raw Filter UI is still bugged out.

In addition, going to About Plugins > Camera RAW also yields a black box.

Did you ever use any "Cleaner" applications that are advertised as making your mac faster and cleaner?

The only thing that I would consider close to a "cleaner" app on my Mac was Avast, but generally I'm very careful with what I install from online. I never had problems with Camera Raw even with Avast installed though; it just started acting up today. The Time Machine backup that I restored my Mac to doesn't have Avast, and things seem okay. I'm not sure if Avast was the culprit.
