Question

Camera Raw smart object layers naming

When Camera Raw opens a picture as smart object gives to its layer picture file name. this prevents actions creation without prior manual layer renaming.

I'm curious whether there is any solution to this problem.

Can you explain what you mean by "this prevents actions creation without prior manual layer renaming"  That does not seem to be correct IMO. Photoshop can still record actions and duplicate layer names are allowed.  What you write does not seems to be incorrect.   How does a  document layer name prevent you from recording an actions? If you want unique layer names you could write a Photoshop Script than can rename a layer to a unique Name in a document . You can use that Photoshop script in an action to insure all layer names in a document are unique..

I opened DNG file with name _IGP7534. This becomes a layer name. If I record actions it refers to this exact layer name. So if you want apply recoded action to another picture you get notice that required step involving this layer is not available. This is because another picture has a different name, that the name of smart object layer in a file you recorded action.

This problem do not appear when you change a name of smart object to foe example "background".

Some clarification. You must to change a smart object layer name to some not unique in a file you using to record action and in oll files you want to aplly this action.
