Can't drag the canvas while using Lasso Tool or Magnetic Lasso Tool and pressing Spacebar

So, I'm used do make a selection using the Lasso Tool with the image zoomed in and I hold spacebar to drag the canvas while selecting more parts of the image. But recently, i noticed that this doesn't work anymore. While I'm making a selection if I hold spacebar nothing happens. The canvas doesn't move and the Lasso Tool continues to select. Only when I take the pen (I use a wacom tablet) off the table, the hand tool appears.

I'm getting the same thing. I rarely use the lasso tool, and if I do, I use the polygon one. You can post the bug at:

Yeah, since with the polygon one you can click and then drag after, this problem doesn't happen to me.

The lasso tool just frustrates me, as it's so easy to mess up. As I mentioned the polygon lasso tool or the pen tool are what I use to make selections.

If you use a Wacom Tablet and use WinTab application interface you will have this issue. If you switch to using Windows INK interface you will not have this issue but you will have other INK issues with feedback Icon will be displayed on screen when modifier keys are used ans ink performance lags more than Wintab.

Ohh, I see. Recently I followed a tutorial on how to disable windows ink and keep the pen pressure through a .txt file command. I just undid what i had done and now it's all normal. Thanks! But... how do I disable windows ink, keep the pen pressure and don't have this lasso tool/hand tool problem?

If you want  to  be able to pan with the space bar when using the lasso tool you need to  configure Photoshop and your Wacom tablet to use INK

I can't use the space bar to pan while in the process of using the magnetic lasso tool.  

This is a bug that seems to happen with annoying regularity with major updates (latest V26.0)

The thing is it doesn't happen every time.  I spend a lot of time zoomed in on large photos using the magnetic tool to select areas, so need to pan around to complete the selection.  At the moment roughly 75% of the time it doesn't work, the other times it does.  The problem doesn't seem to have anything to do with the number of files open, system performance etc.

This bug has been in Photoshop since WinInk became the main tablet driver. When using Wacom tablet and hit  "Escape" and "space" while making a lasso tool selection will not work (space works some times). So you cannot Scrub/pan the canvas or cancel the selection. When working with a mouse it works. This is on a PC with windows 11 using a Wacom Cintiq Display. 

PS! I have reported this bug a while back, but Adobe never answered or aknowledged the bug, so I'm trying again.
