can't save the file as png in iCloud

Just curious in case this has anything to do with it…

…this is about iCloud Drive, right? (Not iCloud Photos? Apple has multiple kinds of iCloud.)

On your Mac, are any of the options enabled that are shown in the picture below, or are you using iCloud only as a sync service?

I don't normally save in icloud, but when I started to save the files in icloud...

iCloud is an Apple application. Can you confirm if you are saving to Adobe's cloud or Apple's cloud?

If you are saving to Adobe's cloud, the files are cloud documents with a .psdc extension. To save as a pdf or png, you need to save to your hard drive instead of Adobe's cloud. Either use Save a Copy or change your Preferences to show the pdf and png extensions.

If you are using Apple's iCloud, please clarify, or you might ask on Apple's forum.

There is no need to move from Illustrator to Photoshop to save a png. In Illustrator, first Save, then choose File > Export As > PNG.
