Can you replace the default background layer so as to use the same adjustments on a new photo?

So I'm color correcting some photos and want to use my same adjustment layers on a different photo.

Currently I created a new layer above Background and pasted my new photo in place there, and hid the background layer. Is there a better way to do that?

If the image are the same size just open the second image and shift drag and drop the adjustment layer.

In addition to drag n drop, one can also select all the adjustment layers and use the Layer menu > Duplicate command. Keep in mind that any layer masks used on adjustment layers will need to be remade.
