CANNOT SEE THE SIZE OF MY BRUSH

Explorer ,
Apr 19, 2023 Apr 19, 2023

NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I CHANGE MY PREFERENCES, I CAN ONLY VERY SELDOM, SEE THE SIZE OF MY BRUSH. I HAVE TO PAINT FIRST TO SEE HOW BIG IT IS AND THEN CHANGE THE SIZE.

I HAVE TIME AND TIME AGAIN, CHANGED MY PREFERENCES BUT 9 TIMES OUT OF 10, I SEE NO INDICATION OF BRUSH, ERASER SIZE BEFORE TOUCHING TO THE CANVAS....

I WOULD APPRECIATE HELP WITH THIS. I'M HAVING SEVERAL PROBLEMS BUT WILL POST EACH INDIVIDUALLY.

MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE...

Turn OFF Caplocks. You'll likely get the cursor back and your messages and text will also stop being produced ALL IN CAPS.

Hi @charms2601 sorry to hear this.

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
