On my new cintiq tablet I open photoshop but my pen is stuck as a select tool or just a regular mouse icon . I cannot erase, use a brush or any other tools . I have searched everywhere and can not find a solution any advice would help thanks . I am running this on a Cintiq 13HD creative , and a macbook pro late 2014 if that information is needed
Two things to try.
1. Make sure your Wacom Drivers are updated. You can always remove your Wacom Drivers and then reinstall them. Usually that solves issues I have with my Cintiq Companion 2.
2. Uninstall and then reinstall Photoshop.
I think those two things should solve your issue. And that is simple to do.
But I totally feel your pain on that.... as I would probably have a heart attack as well if it happened to me.

Hi vinuity,
Please update your tablet drivers and check if you are able to use it. If not so, Restore Photoshop preferences to default, Here's the article with steps to restore preferences Preferences in Photoshop
Let us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Akash
