Hi puffin,

Yes, you can change the default settings of the adjustment curve by going into its properties.

You can access properties from Window > Properties.

Regards,

Sahil

With the Adjustment Layer > Curves chosen and adjusted, you may click on the upper right corner of the Properties panel and save the curve as a Preset (and give it a name). In the future, choose the double arrow in the Preset field and your Preset will be near the bottom of the list;

I don't think yu understood me. I have a saved custom curves preset that I use 99% of the time. I'm trying to have that be the default when I add an adjustment layer. I'm trying to save a little bit of time. I shoot for a wire service.

In closing, I made an action which works faster. It even loads and uses the correct preset if I've just opened PS (usually have to load them each rime I run PS).

Thanks

Yes, I also misunderstood too due to the wording…

Not that I am aware of, there is a difference between a default curve and a preset curve… So I would use a keyboard shortcut to run the action when you wish to apply a new curve adjustment layer using this preset.
