I am trying to figure out how to change two white stripes on a black dress to black, to match with the rest of the dress. The main issue I have is that in the photo there is hair over the white lines. I am not advanced enough to figure this out. I have a few photos to do this on, so a semi-quick fix with step by step how-to would be awesome. Thanks!

If your primary concern is creating a mask for that portion of the hair that cuts across both the black and white stripes, you my want to consider making a duplicate image, changing the Mode to Lab Color (to eliminate the black/white lightness difference) and using an Apha channel copy of the  b  channel. Then, go to Curves, and click on Auto get started on the mask (which should then be inverted). Here is rough idea of its potential. Accessing the mask for use in your RGB version of the image will not be a problem as long as both versions of the image are open.
