Clone stamp tool alignment

I know people have been posting about this for around 10 years, viz: 

If you inadvertently double click while pressing Alt to set the clone source, align will get checked.

Have they ever come-up with a way to disable automatic alignment (i.e., align when I check the box, don't align when I don't check the box)?

Not to my knowledge. You still have to uncheck the box afetr that unfortunate double click.

Last ten years I have some trouble in Photoshop. It make me nervous and usually I speak dirty then it happens.
And only now I learned the mechanism of that "option"... I really thought it was a bug of PS, holy sheet!!!
PS programmers, PLEASE PLEASE let users disable this!
