RIGHTFONT IS THE CULPRIT!!!

Yep, problem for me was also RightFont auto activation causing the issue - thanks. It has actually got worse after I updated to Sonoma and was causing Photoshop drop-down menus to flicker and disappear too. Turning off font auto activation for PS in RightFont stops the issue from manifesting.

Deactivating RightFonts auto-activation for Photoshop worked for me!!!

@tanyaDEL You can go to Preferences » General... and check "Use Legacy Free Transform" to go back to using shift to maintain contraints while transforming.

I was surprised to notice these things in my working area today. These are annoying and not helpful at all, and they obscure my view of the artwork. I was moving them to the far right, but they were coming back. Lol. I looked up twice online what are these, but pretty soon figured out how to get rid of them on my own. Also, I find it not consistent that in Photoshop you are not holding Shift anymore changing anything proportionally, but in Illustrator and in InDesign you are still holding shift. I actually prefer to hold Shift, consistently through all Adobe programs. Maybe there is a way to insure that it works like that, or not? It would be supercool to create a console for ALL Adobe programs where you can determine these tools behaviors for all Adobe programs throughout. (I know I am deviating from the annoying contextual task bars, lol )) Thanks in advance!!
