Converting photoshop raw files

New Here ,
Nov 05, 2016 Nov 05, 2016

Can anyone help?! I've accidentally saved a drawing I've been working on as a photoshop raw file, and I can't seem to recover it.

when I go to open it the photoshop raw options box opens and asks for the dims in pixels which when I enter still doesn't resemble anything like what I was working on!

I've downloaded DNG converter and still no joy, getting concerned I may have lost the drawing entirely.

Raw-Info.png

Choose correct values for all parameters:

Width: in pixels

Height: in pixels

Channels: most likely 3 (RGB)

Interleaved: default

Depth: 8 bits (default) or 16 bits, per channel

Header Size: 0 bytes (default)

An ICC-Profile can be assigned during opening or later, for instance sRGB.

The file contains only the sequence of triples R,G,B from the first pixel to the

last.

Had your file eve been saved before? Then you could go back to that. Photoshop Raw format is an esoteric format, and there doesn't seem to be much information about using it. If you have the pixel dimensions, try palying with different header size values.

Some scant information can be found here: Photoshop RAW File Format | Shutha

[EDIT] and listen to Gernot - he knows about this stuff.

Unfortunately I deleted the psd file, so only left with the raw file now.

Ive tried the pixel dims of the original document and when it opens it looks totally distorted and the wrong dims I entered.

I need to find a way of converting the raw file, but it's not liking that either!

Don't worry about – the file can be recovered.

Remember: RGB (3 channels), Grayscale(1 channel) or CMYK (4 channels)?

Probably you didn't enter a header size, overwriting 0 bytes, did you?

Remember the true or approximate size in pixels. In landscape orientation

width is larger than height. In portrait orientation width is smaller than height.

Please post a screenshot of the visible result.
