Could not complete the Video Frames to Layers command because the DynamicLink Media Server is not available.

I recently installed Photoshop CC 20.0.0. I have had previously versions of photoshop on my Mac (OS 10.12.6) most recently Photoshop CC 19.1.6. While installing PS 20.0.0 I also uninstalled PS 19.1.6. After opening PS 20.0.0 I realized that I could no longer import "Video Frames to Layers" something that I use often. I have searched discussions and haven't found anything recent so maybe there aren't a lot of people using this feature, but I use it daily. I went through my other adobe applications, specifically Bridge to make sure everything was updated. I was still receiving the error "Could not complete the Video Frames to Layers command because the DynamicLink Media Server is not available."

After have decided to reinstall PS 19.1.6 now the Import/Video Frames to Layers works in both 19.1.6 and 20.0.0. I would like to only have one recent version of Photoshop on my system. I hope the Adobe experts can add the needed file to the PS 20 installer.

Thanks,

KL

Hi KL,

Are you still having the same issue? Did you try uninstalling 19 again and see if 20 still worked?

Let us know how we can help!
