create action button not showing

Trying to record a new action in PS for a plug-in, done this plenty of times before but the actions panel isn't showing the button/icon to create a new action. How do i find it?

Cheers Myra, i had to de-select 'button mode' and then it appeared.

The + button to create a new action should be at the bottom of the Actions panel (Window > Actions).

 

You can also go to the Actions panel flyout menu (the hamburger menu in the upper right of the Actions panel) and select New Action...
