I'm trying to create a triptych from a single image. I see plenty of articles on how to create a triptych using the Slice Tool in Photoshop, BUT this generates low resolution, web based files. I'm trying to find a method to create a triptych print quality files from a single image. Anyone know how to do this with a minimum of steps?

With the guides in place (snap to guides is enabled by default), it's easy to cut/copy/paste to make the three panels.

Sure, it can be done manually, but you're talking about several steps involved. Why couldn't Adobe update the Slice Tool so that it could export Print Quality slices as well? It could be one save (or export) and you'd have all three images instantly saved to a folder to a folder of your choice at whatever resolution you need!

The slice tool was never intended for print.
There are scripts to save as using slices.

Thanks Stephen! I'm not up on my Photoshop Scripting, but have certainly made the solutions you've mentioned work. I did notice that Adobe has introduced UXP scripting which sounds like a replacement to CEP (?) Do you know if Adobe has any plans to abandon CEP scripting in the near future?
