To cut the explanation short - like a puzzle mock-up model. I need one image that that will be separated in multiple instances but generated form single image that is inserted in smart object properties.

Sorry if this is n00b question, its just that I never did it.. thanks.

Thanks for the video, but this is not what Ive asked..

Making it simple :

One smart object = 2-3-4-5-6-7 etc. separate pieces scattered around.

instance =

maxresdefault

So all these pieces are different markers for the image position (perspective adjustment)

And the source is a SINGLE smart object with a single image.

So my question is how to create a smart object that is divided on multiple pieces with individual persective adjustments?

I have hard time to understand what you really want. Looking at image with puzzles above my mind goes to what is offered in Chuch Ubele answer, just visit that link and download action. Othervise, you may want to ask how to create many instances and adjust their poisition and transform but each and every piece to be connected to one parent piece, if you change one piece all other pieces will change but will keep its position, transformation and some other adjustments like color overlay or similar. If that is what you want then do the following:

  • Convert single piece to Smart Object layer
  • Duplicate it using Ctrl + J shortcut
  • Apply adjustments like color overlay and transformation
  • Duplicate againg using same shortcut either original piece or one that is created by duplicating it, in both variants they are so called cloned smart objects what means if you change content on one smart object it will update to all other instances which will keep their own local adjustment applied by clipping it or using Layer Style dialog. All cloned instances will also  keep  transformations done only to that cloned instance.

Ok, let me try to explain it like this -

These 3 squares are two objects in real world (a photo) and I need to place smart object over them.

Each has its own perspective.

tst1.jpg

And I need one single smart object to distribute one image evenley over those three sqaures. Saving the perspective.

Like if this was one picture for all those three sqaures.

Will be grateful for tips..

Can you create before-after without smart object just create sample and explain.

What I think that you really want is already explained in my previous reply: convert photo to smart object then duplicate it three times using Ctrl + J. Distort each smart object as you want. When you change image on one of distorted objects it will automatically update all other duplicates - clones.

You can do this with a smart object that you duplicate to the number of puzzles  pieces that you want. There might be a limit on the number of smart objects. Then you need to add a vector mask to each of those smart objects for each puzzle piece. Using Illustrator to create the vector masks would be easier, as you could use the divide command to separate multiple paths into self contained puzzle shapes.

Here is what I was talking about. multible smart objects that if one is changed, all the other ones change. Then each SO as a vector mask of a puzzle piece, so you can move them around. Or you can put them all in another SO and transform them as a group. a layer style of bevel and emboss was given to all the layers.
