[illegal activity removed]
I'm sorry to tell you, but no. Creative Suite apps can only be deactivated from the machine they were installed on. Adobe changed that for Creative Cloud apps, which began in 2013.

Adobe does not reset activations. You need to deactivate on one or both of the computers where CS5 was installed before you install on a third computer.

Honestly, adobe, I think that's nonsense. A counter would simply have to be reset, and I think it's simply a stalling tactic to sell new licenses.
If Adobe's support for the products I have paid for does not improve, I will switch to competitor software and not make new monthly payments.

They offered me a deal of above 100 euros for a new licence, a lifetime licence i think? And iam like ... [cursing removed] I bought a lifetime licence when i bought the Suite ! And they toke that away and offer me a new deal? If i could swear here i would. Its criminal.

@GuyTeerds Adobe would not have offered that deal, it's scammer trying to sell you pirated software, you can report them here

Hello Jane,
i seem to have a similar problem. I have two purchased creative suite 5 licences and i recently deactivated it from my old office computer but cannot reactivate it on my new office computer. Does the adobe license activation system still work for CS5 at all? Thanks

Try the offline activation as described as Solutionj 2 in the linked document.
https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/serial-number-validation-launching-cs6.html
But be aware: if you have reached your activation limit and you don't have any chance to deactivate an older installation you're out of luck. Adobe has stopped the support of CS-CS6 including Lighroom 6 (and earlier) and the resetting of the actiovation counter isn't possible anymore.

I just cannot get my head around this awful disgusting behaviour of Adobe. It costed me a few houndred euros to get the collection, and back then it was a lotttt of money. And they just cancel it. I should sue them! But iam not in America 😉

I bought both original licenses directly from Adobe. Meaning i paid serveral thousand euros, and i am now not able to use it anymore. Dont't know what to say about it. This is not how things should be.
