Cropping and image Generative Expand

I use to be able to open an image.

Then crop to where the edges would go wider and taller than the image.

So there would be a white space all around the image.

Ok, use to be white, now it's all squares ???

Then I would click a botton on the bottom of the page and hit generative expand or fill but it doesn't work any more. If if I type in a word or sentance of what I want it doesn't work.

Any ideas how to get that back or reset it ?

And how do I get rid of the squares and go to just a white area when cropping larger ?

Hope I explained all this right.

Thanks for any help.

Correct answer Bill Gass

The newest version that I pay for every month.

Windows 11.

I don't know how to video it.

I think I got it figured out tho.

I checked the box...Delete cropped pixels and that made the little squares go away.

And i think I have the ai gen fill working now.

Thank you for the reply Shivani.

Any more questions I'll reach out again.

Hey Bill, I'll need more details to help you.

What version of Photoshop and Windows are you working on? Would you mind sharing a video recording of what's happening?

Shivani
