CS6 reverts to trial mode years after purchase

I have owned Photoshop CS6, NOT CLOUD version, for a few years.  Suddenly, a "Trial Mode" warning box appears upon startup, with "00" days remaining, and asks me to purchase.  What's going on?  When I purchased CS6 the story was that I owned it and that it would be supported indefinitely.  I do not use the cloud at all.
