CS6 Serial not Accepted after Computer Reimaging

My work computer wound up having to be re-imaged, everything wiped and reinstalled, because all of my usb ports stopped working.  This means I lost all of my software.  The tech department came to reload CS6 the system but when they went to register the serial number is coming up as invalid.  I know my software is old, but did they invalidate all of the serial numbers for older programs when they switched over to the cloud? Thanks.

They did not invalidate serials, but what has happened is your serial was not released from the original install. You'll have to call Adobe to have them reset it.
