Custom checkbox icon button

Hi everyone I'm new to scripting and im doing this experiment script for a custom check box panel with a nice ui. I know ScriptUi is limited but I'm trying to be creative I have a problem with the button state it work great but sometime the press state activate can anyone know how to solve this problem.

If you see the first image is when the press stae activate suddenly and the secund have the correct behaviour.
