Hi all.  New to this version of photoshop.  When I work on a photo, it seems photoshop saves a copy of it on the home page. How do I delete the photos on the home page please?  Many thanks.

photoshop displays the most recent files, there is no direct way to hide the photo from the recent.

but there is a workaround

after saving the file, go the the destination folder and rename the file, then click on the photo on photoshop recent file ( home page ) , you will get  a message the " file can't be found " click ok, it will be removed from the home page.

Or you can just disable the home screen completely in Preferences. That's what I do; I have no use for it.

If you are trying to remove photos from your computer's desktop or a specific folder, you can simply select the photos and delete them by pressing the delete key or dragging them to the trash bin.

If you are referring to a website's homepage and you have uploaded photos to it, you may need to log in to your account and navigate to the section where you can manage your uploaded photos. From there, you should be able to delete the photos you no longer want to display on the homepage.

Please provide more information about your specific situation so I can assist you better.

Only weird answers here I red . Why not simply possible to delete photo by photo from home page? Why PS keep it so complicated? Isn't enough we spent hours and days to edit images and edit and edit and edit. We know everyone PS is not easy to learn and use .

why Adobe don't simplify certain tasks ? Like allowing us to delete photo by photo how many we wish straight from HOME page?!!!!  Thank you

Hi @george36157732tgtv,

I completely understand your perspective, and simplifying such tasks would indeed make Photoshop more user-friendly for many. At the moment, Photoshop’s home screen is designed to display recent files automatically, and there isn’t a direct option to delete specific files from the home screen individually.

However, here are some workarounds that could help:

1. Rename or move the file from its original location on your computer. When Photoshop tries to access it, it will display a “file can’t be found” message and the entry will be removed from the home screen.

2. Clear Recent Files: To clear all entries, go to File > Open Recent > Clear Recent File List.

Your feedback about simplifying this process is valuable, and I’ll pass it along to the product team for consideration in future updates. Simplifying workflows is always a priority for us, and suggestions like yours are essential for improving the experience.

If you have any further thoughts or need assistance, feel free to share them!

Best,

Anshul Saini
