Hello People!

Recently updated in my MAC Photoshop.

The new version is Photoshop 2020.

I have three questions please:

1. Why when Adobe update Photoshop the previous version stays in my computer? For four or five years since I started using Photoshop it is always the same issue.

2. What is the difference between Photoshop 2020 and Photoshop 2019 CC?

3. The frame tool (command + K) has worked wrong in Photoshop 2019 CC, some one knows if Adobe fixed the bug?

Thank you all, Have nice and happy days people!

Best Regards,

Ernesto.

1.  Creative Cloud upgrades used to remove old versions by default.  And everyone was unhappy about it. Now if you want o remove old versions, you must check the box for it in Advanced settings.   But I don't recommend removing old versions until you're certain you won't need them again.   I currently have 4 versions of Photoshop on my workstation just in case.

2. What's new in Photoshop 2020?

You should never remove an old version of Photoshop till you sure the new versions is working well for you work.  New versions of photoshop always have new bugs.  You should always have an old working version installed just in case an automatic update brakes the latest current version.

In the announcement  at the top of the forum there are links to what is fixed and what is new.

The frame tool has problems for it uses Photoshop place which has problems . The frame tool has other problem as well scaling images it to frames. It will scale down but not up.  IMO the Frame Mask thumbnail being on the left of the Layer Content thumbnail messes the format of the layers palette.  Photoshop Layer Mask and vector Layer Mask have never had a problem framing images.   The Frame tool is not needed.  I removed the Frame tool from my tool bar and disabled its  Shortcut.  Its not completely gone from my Photoshop there are some menu item for layer I can not get rid of. If You go toe Adobe  feedback site you can find some bug report there photoshop-2019-frame-image-scaling-problem

Use the advanced search to find other bug reports
