Disabled Pref. window

Hi, I'm on Window 10, and while working with the font & UI scaling, I checked Override high dpi scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: Application. I have been restarting PS a lot in checking for independence of the scaling (no such luck)  but I have somehow disabled/corrupted the Preferences Window, it is a set size without a scroll bar, many of the selections are either off screen to the right or below the bottom of the window. I have deleted the pref.psp and replaced it with a back-up from the time of installation. Any ideas without a reinstall?

Thanks

Chris

Hi

The timing is tricky, I just clicked Photoshop and immediately pressed Shift+Ctrl+Alt) - but if you time it right you will see this :

Because your shortcut startup icon on your desktop that launches Photoshop forces Windows scaling onto Photoshop.  When your launch Photoshop from File Explorer you are launching Adobe application Photoshop.exe directly.  Adobe fixed UI scaling works when Windows scaling is not being forced onto it and you are running current windows 10.. It took Microsoft and Adobe working together to fix the problems.  The start Menu also does not Force Windows scaling on Photoshop. You broke Adobe fix by forcund Windows scaling on Photoshop you overrode Adobe scaling.

What version of Photoshop.  Adobe's Windows UI scaling was fixed  in Windows 10 and Photoshop CC 2108 version 19.1. Adobe now automatically scale its UI on windows 10 . Adobe will use your Widows 10 Display scaling setting  for each of your displays.  You should not use Windows Shortcuts options to override high dpi application scaling.

PS CC, it should be up to date. In any case that was what I wanted to fix "Their Fix" it's terrible, I'm near 60 on a two screen setup they aren't independent, and PS shop is fixed to Windows 10 and that's just useless.  They had it perfect on Windows Classic, all scaling was independent, it's like ripping out a wheelchair ramp if you ask me.  Anyway sorry for the rant, what do you think just uninstall reinstall?

In eighteen years you will catch up my 78 year age however, I may not be around than..  Adobe's fix is very good you should try it.  Launch Photoshop by double clicking one Photoshop.exe in Windows file explorer and launch it without forcing Windows scaling one it.

Hi

Try the old way :

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Hi Dave that opens the PS properties window, I have thrown the old pref file away, the replacement is old and has been fine for a year anyway
