Double letters, numbers, spaces do not register when typing in PS !!!!HELP!!!!

This has been an ongoing issue for me for a year + now, I will try my best to explain, here goes... So whenever I type something in a photoshop doc that has two of the same letters, like the word "Mississippi" or "Letter" it always comes out like this "Misisipi" or "Leter". No matter the font, no matter the file type or size, this always happens with any letter that needs to be typed twice. This also includes if I want to do double spaces or even triple spaces with the space bar, I will only get one space. I usually have to press the space bar 10 times to get 2 or 3 spaces accomplished. I really can't keep dealing with this it's very frustrating. This is the ONLY program that does this, no other program on my PC does this, not even Illustrator. Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? Please help! Thanks!

Important info: I am using a Gen 2 Surface Studio (Microsoft) and have the most current Adobe Photoshop all up to date.
