I have a license for CS5, but no install medium, so I need to download. However, on the download page, there are different versions: Master Collection, Production Premium, Web Premium, Design Premium, Design Standard. My license does not specify the version. Which one can I download and install and be sure the license will be valid?
Thank you for your answer- Hening

The right one. Only the right one will run, no other.

Thanks for your answer, MVP. But is there I way I can identify which is the right one? I don't remember, and strangely I did not make a note where I recorded the license number. Most likely it's Design Standard or Design Premium.

Thank you! I have started downloading Standard. But if memory serves me it was just Photoshop, not a suite. But I don't find a download for that anywhere. In the Database where I store software license numbers I called it 'Photoshop CS5'.

In that case it won't work. Your serial won't be accepted on an application that is part of a suite.
You need to find a Photoshop download.

Uff, right now I see there is a download called 'Photoshop CS5, Photoshop CS5 Extended'. The 2 can not be distinguished in the download. I remember mine was just Standard, not Extended. So I think I'll try this download and see what happens.

It's the same download, the same installer. The serial number determined whether you got standard or extended.
Yeah, pretty conflicting and self-contradictory policies there, I know. No wonder people got confused. It's so much simpler now...

There was a substantial price increase from Design Standard (affordable) > Design Premium (expensive) > Master Collection (out of reach for most). What was your income at the time? That's what settled the choice for most people who had to pay out of their own pockets.
That said, all of these would have made a noticeable dent in anyone's bank account. It seems odd to not remember.
Or was it a single application license you had? Photoshop only? In that case none of the above, those are full suites. Suite licenses and single app licenses were not interchangeable.

You could vheck your account details. If you registered, it will say. Otherwise you could try to contact Adobe, but that’s likely to be so time consuming you could have downloaded everything and tried it.
Oh, one idea: what apps can you remember we’re in it? Each one is a diffferent collection. Also be sure you don’t have a CS5.5 license, which is different.

Simpler...except in the world of Acrobat where it is more complicated than ever.
