Dropdown menu not showing on the left toolbar

Hello, I use Photoshop on Windows 10. Today I cannot see the submenus in the toolbar on the left.

For example if I click on the shape tool on the left, I don't see the type of shapes. It will always draw the last shape (a 5 branches star). I cannot even draw a circle. I cannot choose the type of text.

I restarted Photoshop and I even uninstalled it and reinstalled it. It didn't solve the problem at all.

It makes the program completely unusable ;-(

I just started to buy the licence and I cannot even make my training. I have a brand new Huawei Matebook 16" and all the drivers are updated. It is a very big issue.

Hi! I solved the issue. It's very simple. Before I accessed these options with a left click, and now for a unknown reason I have to use the right click. I don't know why but with the right click it works okay.

When you lrft click on the icons in the tools panel, one needs to press and hold to see the submenu.
