Did you ever find a solution?

Hi rsquinny,

Has your issue been resolved?

If not, would you please verify the following:

  1. Virus/security/parental control software hasn't trapped parts of Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere, Lightroom, or any Adobe app using DynamicLinkMediaServer. (Make sure the Adobe apps are added as exceptions if needed.)
  2. Ensure you have the latest version of QuickTime
  3. Close all Adobe applications - wait more than 30 seconds, then launch Photoshop and try to open the file.

       - If unsuccessful, view Task Manager/Processes to verify necessary processes started up when importing video (dynamiclinkmanager.exe, dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe and Adobe QT32 Server.exe)

    - If unsuccessful, please capture the full error message text.

4. Close all Adobe apps, wait 30 seconds - launch Bridge and try to open the file.

- If that is successful, are you now able to use Photoshop without issue?

Thanks,

Meredith

I'm dealing with this same issue today. I worked through each step of your resolutions, Meredith, and I was finally able to open my video clip with #4 after the others didn't work. Like rsquinny, I had successfully worked on another clip, but had this issue when opening the second one. I'm using CS6, and I'm excited about working on motion video products with all the new tools available. Thank you for posting multiple solutions for this issue.

Were you trying to import this video from another product, or just your hard drive?

If the latter sometimes just re-booting with solve the problem.

Was the media server missing http://forums.adobe.com/message/4400177#4400177

Also with CS6 you can open you video and not be limited to the 500 frames import supports.
