Edit Screen

Explorer ,
Dec 04, 2024 Dec 04, 2024

I have recently installed V26.1 and had to redo the prerences. I set Auto Home Screen to unchecked but all I get is the drag drop screen when I open PS. I really want it to open into the Edit Screen, how do I make this happen. I am used to the screen as I have been using PS since 2002.

Not very intuitive on Adobes part and there is nothing in the help pages that I could find.

Thank you, Axel

Untick Preferences > General > Auto show the Home Screen, then restart Photoshop. If that doesn't help, try resetting the preferences.

In the first step you have to disable the option "Auto show the Home Screen" in the preferences.

After restarting PS the Home screen is still displayed.

The click on the PS symbol in the upper left corner. Then the "normal" PS screen will be shown.

Then the Home Screen should be never displayed on startup.

You're right. I only still found it out by chance.
